Living History

2010 Canceled

See Video >>

The South Main Historic District is home to the Time Traveler Living History Program during weekends in May and June.

The program includes period entertainments, speeches, trades demonstrations, music and first person interpreters who represent the citizens of St. Charles in the early part of the 19th century.

All performers and interpreters wear period dress which are typically hand sewn reproductions of museum pieces. Interpreters interact with each other and the public as they recreate the look and feel of a 19th century village. All involved are committed to historical accuracy and the promotion of historical preservation through interpretation.
